Route to Reading-Third Grade

This week third grade students reviewed vowel sounds and learned about magic e (silent e). We looked for patterns in words by pointing to the vowel by using a v sign with our index and middle finger. Next we read a story titled Sam and Kate. Students highlighted words with the silent e pattern (vce), read the words and then practiced the story for fluency.
